Our Fabric Care Guide

At Karodia’s Fabrics, we understand that fabric is precious, and we want to help you care for your new purchase to ensure its longevity and beauty. Here are some guidelines to get you started:

  • Pre-washing: For washable natural fibers, it’s a good idea to pre-wash before creating your garments, as some shrinkage may occur. Pre-wash your fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished creation, including drying methods.
  • Separating Colors: Wash light and bright colors separately, especially for the first few washes, as some dyes may run. High contrast prints with deep, saturated colors like red, black, or navy on lighter base fabrics require extra care. These should be cold machine washed and dried promptly to prevent color bleed.
  • Special Care Fabrics: Delicate fabrics such as satin, sequined, beaded, coated, or foiled materials, as well as specialty weights and styles, may require unique washing techniques. Always handle these fabrics with extra care to maintain their quality.
